From the Coach:
I would like to start off by saying what a wonderful reception I have had from all members, supporters, players, parents and friends of the North Whyalla Football Club since being announced Senior Coach at the end of last year. 2019 will be a special year for everyone who has ever been involved with the club, and from a football perspective, we have had lots of enthusiasm.

We welcome new players Daniel Adamson (Roopena), Jesse Oldrey (Ingle Farm), Brandon Dix (South Whyalla), Harley McCormick (Central Eyre), Callum Baldwin, Anthony Birch, Nathan Phillips and Tim Stirling. We also welcome back past players, Bailey French, Mackenzie Dickenson, Sam Flanegan (Waratah NT) and Luke Seymour (Crystal Brook) who will all add depth to our strong playing squad. After nine completed pre-season sessions, we have had 55 players train at least once. As a group, we have been focussed on building a foundation of fitness to allow us to learn a high-intensity gamestyle which will be based around our ultra-competitivness.

The players have shown tremendous enthusiasm towards some diverse activities and have not backed away from hard work. Our leaders have been tremendous, setting the examples for a lot of our younger players who will step out of Senior Colt Football into Senior representation. We will be looking to develop our football IQ around appropriate structure and formation which will hopefully see us compete with the best teams in town. All of us can’t wait to get into the season and look forward to bringing our energy to all facets of the club. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
